Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These terms govern your access to and use of translatenepali.com and the associated applications and services (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. About us

The Service is provided by Lakeside Studios Limited, a private limited company registered in England and Wales (company number 16384983), with registered office at 1503 Block C, 70 Holland Street, London, SE1 9NX, United Kingdom (“Lakeside”, “we”, “us”).

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using the Service you confirm that you meet this requirement.

4. Your account

When you create an account you agree to provide accurate information and to keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that takes place under your account. Notify us at admin@translatenepali.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

5. Acceptable use

You agree that you will not:

• use the Service for any unlawful purpose;
• harass, threaten or impersonate any person;
• upload, transmit or generate content that is unlawful, defamatory, infringing, or otherwise harmful;
• scrape, reverse engineer, or attempt to access the Service in a way that is not expressly permitted;
• upload malware, attempt to disrupt or overload the Service, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account or system;
• use the Service to make decisions in safety-critical contexts (see section 7).

6. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you submit to the Service, including text, audio recordings, notes, and summaries (“Your Content”). You grant Lakeside a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, transmit, process, transcribe, translate, and summarise Your Content for the sole purpose of operating the Service and providing the features you have requested.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to submit Your Content and that doing so does not infringe the rights of any third party.

7. AI translation and summary accuracy

Translations and AI-generated summaries are provided on an “as is” basis and may contain errors or omissions. You should not rely on output from the Service for legal, medical, financial, or other safety-critical decisions.

8. Pricing

The Service is free to use at the date of these terms. We may introduce paid plans in future with reasonable advance notice.

9. Third-party services

The Service integrates with third-party services such as Google sign-in and Google Calendar. Your use of those services is also subject to the terms and privacy notices of the relevant provider.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. To delete your account, email admin@translatenepali.com. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for any account that breaches these terms or that we reasonably believe is being used to cause harm.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lakeside disclaims all implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lakeside’s aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Service is limited to the greater of (a) GBP 100 or (b) the total fees you have paid to Lakeside for the Service in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. You agree that the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms or the Service.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app and the effective date at the top of this page will be updated.
